International week for language teachers

TAMK and JAMK University of Applied Sciences are jointly organising an international week for language teachers on 15th-19th April, 2013, in Tampere and Jyväskylä. The main theme for the week is innovative methods in language teaching and learning, and it is supported by relevant subthemes, such as integrating field-specific professional substance into language studies, promoting cultural awareness in language teaching, and developing methods of communication. The week is arranged for university-level language teachers, and it will comprise interactive workshops focusing on innovative and creative cases, presentations by top-class keynote speakers, real-life teaching situations, visits to different companies, and special programme arranged by students. Besides networking and meeting with colleagues around the world, the purpose of the week is both to share good practices as well as to jointly produce new, creative ideas for teaching, and hopefully launch new co-operation projects.

For more information, please see the TAMK website and the International Week Flyer. If you became interested in leading a workshop or participating in some other way, please contact us.
